THE PRACTICE

 Founded in 2020

Pounds-Hofer was formed when this dynamic husband-wife duo decided to extend their partnership to the legal arena. Although Janae founded this law practice in 2020 before their marriage in 2023, Lance joined the practice in 2025, bringing with him his expertise in technological innovations and client relations.

THE VISION:

Caring Service

Even at a young age, realistically analyzing the impacts of our cerebral palsy on our career prospects, we felt called to the legal profession.

We knew that we would be successful attorneys because of our hard work ethic, combined with our ability to efficiently research complex issues and convey findings via succinct but in-depth written analysis.

After achieving academic success and gaining experience, Janae decided to follow God in faith by opening her own practice with the vision of being able to help all types of clients with their legal needs.

In spring 2025, Lance joined the law practice to assist the firm's clients with quality and caring legal representation, regardless of their wealth. Together, they are excited to provide excellent legal services, channeling the tenacity that earned them high marks in life into being vigorous advocates for their clients.

Janae Pounds-Hofer

Founder, Attorney at Law

Overcoming my physical disability of cerebral palsy to graduate summa cum laude with a bachelor's in business, I attended Creighton School of Law on a full-ride scholarship. Graduating cum laude in the top 15% of my law class, my unwavering desire was to use my legal skills to help people, their businesses, and nonprofits. I gained invaluable legal knowledge and experience at Union Pacific and a large law firm before pursuing my dream of starting a practice focused on individualized service.

While I have physical limitations, I use my God-given powerful mind to serve clients with focused precision. I can provide this focused attention because I employ a competent staff, including a highly competent executive assistant who removes disability-imposed physical barriers to serving clients in my practice of law.

Raised by a successful entrepreneur, the value of serving clients with excellence was instilled in me from a young age. Regardless of account size, I treat each client with integrity, respect, and care. I ensure competent representation by committing to continuously learning and acquiring expert advice when I encounter novel legal issues. I cut no corners in obtaining the most comprehensive and efficient legal research available. Thus, without sacrificing thoroughness, I expediently provide legal advice and solutions while cutting clients' costs via efficient hour reduction.

Lance Pounds-Hofer

 Partner, Attorney at Law

Overcoming the physical challenges of cerebral palsy, I grew up on a small farm outside Ontario, Oregon, where I helped with daily farm work—driving tractors, rolling hay bales, and herding cows back into pastures in the early hours of the morning. Despite my physical limitations, I developed a strong work ethic and an tenacity that would carry me through my academic and professional journey.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, before attending Concordia School of Law in Boise, where I obtained my Doctor of Jurisprudence in August 2016.

I began my legal career at C.K. Quade Law, PLLC, where I supported senior attorneys in Medicaid Planning, Benefit Planning, Estate Planning, and Special Needs Planning. My role included providing direct services to clients, developing educational content for continuing legal education, and delivering presentations to families and service providers.

I leverage my God-given analytical mind to provide clients with precise and comprehensive legal services. I am committed to continuous learning, staying current on legal developments in probate and tax law while also contributing to the ongoing education of fellow attorneys.
